Arithmetic mean

Arithmetic mean is the average value. That is the summation of the total value devided by the number of observation. Let a data is collected that is 1, 5, 4, 10, 15 In Trainee this data number of observation is 5. The summation of the total value is 35. If 35 is devided by 5 then the result will be 7. Hence, 7 is the arithmetic mean.
Let you collect 10 dollar in day one and collect 20 dollar in second day and collect 30 dollar in third day. You collected total 60 dollar by three days. Your average collection per day is 20 that is resulted 60 devided by 3. It is an example of arithmatic mean.
