Electromagnetic force
There have a four fundamental interaction in universe. These fundamental interactions are,
Strong force
Weak force
Electromagnetic force
Gravitation
Electromagnetic force is one of the fundamental interaction from out of four fundamental interaction. Just like gravitation, electromagnetic force have a wide distance of impacts.
Though strong nuclear force is the strongest fundamental interaction in universe, but act within a short range. Electromagnetic force is the second strongest fundamental interaction that act within long range just like gravitation.
There have some similarity of electromagnetic force with gravity. Like gravity, electromagnetic force follows inverse square law. Inverse square law means the strength of the force is inversely proportional to the distance of force interaction.
