Scaler number and vector number
Number are usually can classify into two types on the basis of value and direction. Scaller number and vector number.
Scaller number: Scaller number is these kinds of number that indicates only the value. Scaller number does not indicate any direction.
If you say 2 kilometers. That indicates only the value of distance. It does not indicate any direction. On the other hand if you say 2 kilometers north. It indicates the value of distance and the direction of distance. Hence, it is not a scaller number.
In physics heat, distance, mass is scaller number.
Vector number: Vector number is such kinds of number that indicates the value and direction. 2 kilometers north is a vector number. It is a vector number, because it expresses both value of distance and the direction.
In physics weight, work, velosity is the vector number. These term expresses value and direction both.
The difference between scaller and vector can clearly define.
1. Scaller addition follows general algebraic rule, but vector addition follows geometric rule
