Meanings of sampling and importance of sampling for a statistical investigation
Sample means a single and small part of the population that can able to represent the characteristics of the whole population.
It is sometime become to hard task to define the whole population. It is too much costly and time consuming to observe the whole population. Sometimes it becomes quite impossible.
But for a quantitive and qualitative statistical investigation it is important for selecting a small sample from the population. Collecting and selecting sample from a large population is called sampling.
For a purposeful investigation to make a decision about the whole population is very important.
Just consider an example of of sampling. Let, a population 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
