Matrix and types of matrix

There have some special types of matrix in mathematics. These are given bellow, 1. Square matrix 2. Diagonal matrix 3. Scalar matrix 4. Identity matrix or unit matrix 5. Zero matrix Each kinds of matrix is defined below, Square matrix: In square matrix the number of row and the number of column is same. If the number of row is 3, then the number of columns will be 3 in square matrix. Diagonal matrix: Diagonal matrix is a square matrix with the condition of each diagonal element of square matrix is non zero. Scalar matrix: Scalar matrix is both a square matrix and diagonal matrix. It is such kinds of square and diagonal matrix where each diagonal element is nonzero and a same value. Uf each diagonal element of a square matrix is 4, then it can be say that it is a scalar matrix. Identity matrix: Identity matrix is also called unit matrix. Identity matrix is such kinds of matrix where each diagonal elements are 1. Zero matrix: If each elements of the matrix is zero, then it is called zero matrix or null matrix.
